Overview
The Sierra of the Mines project is located approximately 800 km northwest of Buenos Aires (Argentina) and 450 km northeast of Santiago de Chile (Chile); exactly southeast of the Province of La Rioja (Argentina). The project covers an area of āāapproximately 4,000 hectares, which are divided into three exploration targets: El Abra, JV14 and Maestro AgĆ¼ero. Within the study area, numerous occurrences of gold hosted in mesothermal quartz veins were identified, some of which have been historically mined on a small scale. The project is located within a belt of foliated granites trending north-south, approximately 70 km long and up to 13 km wide; several gold deposits occur in the district in the form of mesothermal quartz gold veins; it is important to note the presence of free gold in the structures.
