TANG XIAOHUANG
Founder and CEO
Mr. Xiaohuang Tang is the founder of Hanaq Group. He worked as Director of Operations at Wealth Minerals Canada, responsible for its mining projects in South America. He was General Manager at Jinzhao Mining for the development of the Pampa de Pongo project, which was later successfully sold for 800 million dollars. He also worked at Standard Bank, in the area of structured mining financing for mining projects in South America. Prior to Standard Bank, he was a mining consultant for the South American Office of the British Commonwealth. In addition to his experience in South America, Mr. Tang has also explored different mining projects in Central America.
He is a director of Wealth Minerals and MAPEAL Macau. He is also a member of Chatham House. Mr. Tang received his BEng from Tsinghua University in China. He also has master’s degrees from Imperial College London, the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge. Chinese is his mother tongue. He speaks English and Spanish fluently.
AGUSTIN SARAVIA FRIAS
Vice President
Mr. Agustín Saravia Frías is a senior partner at the law firm Saravia Frías & Cornejo Asociados in Salta, where he specialized in the natural resources industry. Previously, he worked at Marval O’Farrell & Mairal in Buenos Aires, focusing on debt restructurings and mergers and acquisitions.
He participated as a guest panelist in “The meeting of the group of senior experts on the sustainable development of lithium in Latin America: Emerging issues and opportunities” in Santiago de Chile (2010) and in publications of the center for energy, oil and mineral law. and policy CEPMLP Annual Review (CAR) CE.
Mr. Saravia Frías is a lawyer graduated from the University of Buenos Aires and received his Masters in mining law from the University of Dundee sponsored by Rio Tinto/Foreign and Commonwealth Office. His mother tongue is Spanish and his English is fluent.
XIU HONG LI
CFO
Mr. Xiuhong Li held senior management positions at various mining companies in Latin America for more than twenty years, including his most recent position as Vice President at MCC Minera Sierra Grande SA in Argentina. He has been CFO and director of the same company, where he supervises the preparation of the Feasibility Study and its presentation to the mining authority to obtain the fiscal stability certificate. He also served as Finance Director of Junefield Group SAA in Peru, where he specialized in accounting, tax, labor and financial matters.
Mr. Li studied accounting in China and Peru. Chinese is his mother tongue. He also speaks English and Spanish.
MARTIN ANDREATTA
Chief Lithium Officer
Chief officer in charge of the HANAQ’s lithium projectsin Salta, Jujuy and Catamarca.
Managing permitting, exploration, process design, construction, and operation of lithium projects: Arizaro, Pocitos, Aguiliri and others. Headcount (90 direct and 120 indirect). The flagship Doncellas Project (located in Arizaro Salt Flat, Salta) has been
explored, and a first stage of 3 plants (DLE technologies) with a combined production capacity of 9.000 tpa of lithium carbonate is underway to begin construction in Q3 2023, and production start-up in Q4 2024 (CAPEX estimation 250 MUSD).
BALTASAR L. ESPECHE
Chief Strategy and Administration Officer
Public Accountant graduated from the University of Buenos Aires in 2003. Post gradúate specialisation in taxes at the Economic Science University in Buenos Aires, being its thesis about taxation in mining activity, assesing national and international systems of local imposing taxes.
Regarding his academic activities he performed as an auxiliar teacher at University of Buenos Aires in the “II Tax Theory and Skills” subject until 2005. Lecturer at several specialized seminars and publications. Since 2020 he has been a teacher in Mining Business at the UCASAL Integral Mining Management diploma.
Mr. Baltasar Espeche worked in several areas including taxation counseling, tax promotion, fiduciary business, investments, finance and international business. Since 2006 he has been working in the mining industry as a specialized consultant in exchange, fiscal, countable , industrial and corporate area. In collaboration with other professionals, in 2018 they started a specialized firm in mining business counseling.
